On August 25, 2025, the autumn new product launch events of LUXEED electric car and AITO electric car  concluded in Chengdu. This launch event, centered on “intelligent travel,” unveiled multiple new models, including the new LUXEED electric car R7, LUXEED electric car New S7, and the pure-electric version of AITO electric car  M8. It also officially announced the pre-sale information of STELATO electric car  S9T (parameters | inquiry price) and SAIC electric car  H5, as well as the release date of the new AITO electric car  M7, and disclosed key data of the HarmonyOS Smart Travel ecosystem.
HarmonyOS Smart Travel Ecosystem
At the launch event, Yu Chengdong disclosed a series of data: as of the day of the launch event, the cumulative delivery of HarmonyOS Smart Travel had exceeded 900,000 vehicles. Relying on the dual advantages of product strength and brand power, it has consecutively topped the list of the highest average transaction price of Chinese automobile brands for 14 months. This achievement means that HarmonyOS Smart Travel has firmly established itself in the mid-to-high-end market and has broken the long-term monopoly of traditional fuel vehicles in this price range.

In terms of specific models, high-end models have shown market penetration: the Zun World S800, which has been on the market for 87 days, has seen its confirmed orders exceed 12,000 vehicles; the AITO electric car  M9 has delivered a cumulative total of 226,000 units and has been the sales champion in the segment above 500,000 yuan for 17 months, which has proven the recognition of high-end users. In the mainstream market, the AITO electric car  M8, which has been on the market for four months, has delivered 70,000 units. The LUXEED electric car twins, LUXEED electric car R7 and LUXEED electric car S7, have delivered more than 110,000 units in total, forming a comprehensive coverage from the high-end to the mainstream market.

In terms of technology application and safety assurance, HarmonyOS Smart Travel also disclosed a set of data. Its assisted driving mileage has exceeded 1.67 billion km, and it has avoided more than 2.15 million possible collisions. This set of data aims to illustrate the practicality and reliability of the HarmonyOS Smart Travel assisted driving system. Meanwhile, the installation of HarmonyOS 5 devices has exceeded 12 million, achieving seamless interconnection between automobiles, mobile phones, tablets, smart home devices, and other multi-terminal devices.
LUXEED electric car Twins Renewal
As the focus models of this launch event, the renewal and launch of LUXEED electric car R7 and LUXEED electric car New S7 accurately target the young people and young family user groups. In terms of pricing, the LUXEED electric car R7 starts at 249,800 yuan, and the LUXEED electric car New S7 starts at 229,800 yuan.
The comprehensive upgrade in configuration is the core highlight that attracts users to the LUXEED electric car twins. Both models have added a rear high-precision solid-state lidar and 4D millimeter-wave radar and are equipped with the latest HUAWEI ADS 4 assisted driving system. Among them, the LUXEED electric car R7 has additionally added a forward 3-distributed 4D millimeter-wave radar matrix, effectively enhancing the environmental perception capability in complex weather conditions such as rain, fog, and dust, making the intelligent driving experience more stable and safer. It is worth mentioning that old LUXEED electric car owners can upgrade to HUAWEI ADS 4 across the entire series, ensuring the experience iteration for old users and reflecting the brand's emphasis on user rights and interests.

The optimization of design and comfort configuration further meets the aesthetics and needs of young users. Both models have for the first time adopted the LUXEED electric car graphic logo, added aurora green paint and Roland purple interior, meeting users' pursuit of personalization; the LUXEED electric car R7 has widened the front face side intake and lifted the rear, creating a more dynamic and upright body posture; the car is equipped with a new 16.1-inch center console screen, launched the no-mic karaoke 2.0, upgraded the new 21-speaker HUAWEI SOUND, and adopted a 7.1.4 sky sound channel design, bringing users an immersive audio-visual experience. In addition, the LUXEED electric car R7 has upgraded the main and passenger seats to zero-gravity seats, which support ventilation, heating, and massage functions, and are equipped with a nap mode, making the driving and riding process an enjoyment.

The power and endurance performance also take into account practicality and economy. The LUXEED electric car R7 continues the pure-electric + extended-range power layout. The pure-electric version offers an ultra-long endurance of 802 km, meeting the needs of daily commuting and short trips. The extended-range version is equipped with the Huawei Xue Xiao intelligent quiet extended-range system, with an ultra-high oil-electric conversion efficiency of 3.7 kWh/L, a fuel consumption of only 5.68 L per 100 km, a pure-electric endurance of up to 360 km, and a comprehensive endurance of up to 1,673 km, completely solving users' range anxiety. The LUXEED electric car New S7, with its 3.3-second acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h and an ultra-long endurance of 855 km, balances performance and long-range needs, providing an excellent choice for users who pursue driving pleasure.

Chen Yutong, chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., said at the launch event that the arrival of the new LUXEED electric car models marks the entry of the LUXEED electric car brand 2.0 into a new stage. To support brand development, Chery will invest more than 10 billion yuan in special investment, form a research and development team of more than 5,000 people, and establish the LUXEED electric car New Energy Company. Through integrated production, sales, and service operations, it ensures high-quality user experience. This plan not only demonstrates the brand's determination to deepen its presence in the new energy field but also lays a solid foundation for the future development of the LUXEED electric car.
AITO electric car  M8 Pure-Electric Version
The official launch of the AITO electric car  M8 pure-electric version provides a new choice for family users in terms of pure-electric travel. This model, positioned as a family intelligent flagship SUV, fully considers the needs of family users in terms of pricing and seat layout, offering two options: five seats and six seats, with a price range of 359,800 yuan to 449,800 yuan, accurately covering the mid-to-high-end family user group.

Space design is one of the core advantages of the AITO electric car  M8 pure-electric version. Its body size reaches 5,190 mm × 1,999 mm × 1,795 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. The spacious body size lays the foundation for the interior space. Specifically, the five-seat version is equipped with a quasi-zero-gravity seat on the right side of the second row, and the six-seat version is equipped with a zero-gravity seat on the right side of the second row. The co-driver seat supports one-key folding to a flat position, allowing for free switching of space scenarios. Whether for daily commuting or long-distance travel, it can bring family members the comfort of sitting or lying down. In addition, the new car has added a 149L super-large front trunk, which can accommodate a 20-inch standard carry-on suitcase. The button inside the front trunk can lower the vehicle height by 50 mm with one click, facilitating users' access to and placement of items. In terms of power and endurance, the AITO electric car  M8 pure-electric version adopts a new high-voltage pure-electric power architecture and is equipped with a new Huawei DriveONE high-voltage seven-in-one electric drive, which reduces energy consumption while improving power performance. The new car is equipped with Huawei's Whale 800V high-voltage platform and CATL's 100kWh ternary lithium battery as standard across the series, achieving a maximum endurance of 705 km, effectively alleviating family users' anxiety about long-distance travel.

The comprehensive strengthening of safety performance is the key for the AITO electric car  M8 pure-electric version to attract family users. Previously, the AITO electric car  M8 had already obtained the C-NCAP 2024 version super five-star safety certification and ranked first in the evaluation standard with a comprehensive score rate of 93.7%.
