The pre-sale price of the Wuling Starlight 560 starts at 59,800 yuan after discounts. It will be available in three power options and is set to hit the market in January 2026.
On December 23rd, we learned from SAIC-GM-Wuling that the new member of the Starlight family, the Starlight 560, will be launched in January 2026. The vehicle has already started pre-sale with four models available, with the initial reservation price ranging from 63,800 to 102,800 yuan and the discounted price ranging from 59,800 to 98,800 yuan. Additionally, it will offer three power options: fuel, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric, to meet the needs of different users.
Briefly reviewing, the vehicle features a nearly borderless front grille that integrates with the headlamps on both sides, complemented by the silver Wuling logo in the center, providing a good visual experience. The grille is decorated with honeycomb elements, adding a touch of sportiness. Notably, the front bumper is equipped with a gun-gray chrome anti-scratch guard, enhancing the rugged look.
From the side, the vehicle has a floating roof design and is equipped with a black roof rack, along with raised wheel arches at the front and rear, creating a good sense of layering. At the rear, it adopts a more conventional design style compared to the front, with a straight tail light group, a gun-gray bumper guard at the bottom, and a large rear spoiler on the roof, all in line with the vehicle's positioning.
Inside, the vehicle adopts a wraparound design style and is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a 12.8-inch floating central control screen, meeting current driving needs. The central control screen is equipped with the Ling OS system, which supports HiCar, CarLink, and DLNA for mobile phone connection. The interior color options include walnut brown and warm sand brown. Additionally, the official statement indicates that the rear seats have a width of 1,463mm, enhancing the comfort of rear passengers.
In terms of power, the Starlight 560 offers three power options for consumers to choose from: fuel, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric. The fuel version is equipped with a 1.5T high-torque engine with direct injection technology, with a maximum power of 130 kilowatts and a peak torque of 290 Newton-meters. The transmission is matched with a CVT and a 6-speed manual transmission. The official information reveals that the manual version has a fuel consumption as low as 6.99 liters per 100 kilometers, and the CVT version has a fuel consumption of 7.58 liters per 100 kilometers (both are WLTC combined fuel consumption).
The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with Lingxi Power 3.0 technology. The Lingxi hybrid engine achieves a 43.2% engine platform thermal efficiency, combined with the fourth-generation 10-in-1 high-efficiency hybrid electric drive system. It has a CLTC pure electric range of 125 kilometers and a WLTC combined range of up to 1,100 kilometers, with a WLTC fuel consumption of only 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers when the battery is depleted. The pure electric version is equipped with a 100-kilowatt integrated drive motor system and a 60 kWh Shenlian battery, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 500 kilometers, with an official power consumption of 13.6 kWh per 100 kilometers. It supports 2C charging, and it takes only 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and 15 minutes to charge 200 kilometers. Additionally, the Starlight 560 is developed based on a dedicated chassis and comes with front and rear independent suspensions as standard.
