Winter Triathlon of Electric Vehicles: Who Can Defy the Cold? Li auto L6, VOYAH FREE+, and Aito auto M7, Who Will Triumph in the Winter?

As winter approaches, some northern regions have already seen snowfall, while the south has experienced a significant drop in temperature. Every year at this time, a "winter driving test" focusing on "range, charging, stability, and warmth" quietly begins.

Are you also worried about "drastically reduced battery life overnight", "slow charging", "slippery roads like ice rinks", and "freezing cold inside the car"? Today, the experienced driver has specially selected three highly popular luxury five-seat SUVs on the market -  L6,VOYAH FREE+, and AITO M7. Through a multi-faceted comparison, let's see their real performance in winter driving scenarios and find out who can truly become your "winter triathlon champion"! We hope this can provide decision-making references for friends who are about to buy a car.

Winter Driving: Who Offers an Equal Experience in Both Cold and Hot Weather?
In terms of energy consumption, Ideal L6's 212km pure electric range performs well at normal temperatures. Thanks to its heat pump, it can still achieve over 150km in actual range in cold conditions. For users with longer commutes, it may require charging every two days.

VOYAH FREE+ has a CLTC pure electric range of 318km, ensuring sufficient battery reserves even in the coldest winter. Its 45kWh lithium iron phosphate battery with graphite fast ion ring technology can effectively enhance battery activity in low temperatures. Even with the heater on, it can maintain an actual range of over 200km, which can fully meet the commuting needs of most people for a week. Askui M7's 240km range is in the middle range, sufficient for daily use, but for long-distance travel, the fuel mode needs to be activated. (All data are from media tests)

In terms of charging efficiency, the 120kW charging power of Li L6 and the 100kW of Aito M7 are at the current industry standard level, so they may be affected in low temperatures, and the charging time will be significantly longer than at normal temperatures. However,VOYAH FREE+'s 140kW peak charging power is outstanding. Its battery low-temperature preheating function ensures charging efficiency even in extremely cold conditions, which is particularly practical in northern winters. It only takes 20 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%, similar to the charging time at normal temperatures, greatly reducing waiting time in cold environments. LanTu's fast charging capability not only saves time but also enhances the winter driving experience.

In terms of maintenance costs, the maintenance costs of Ideal L6 and Askui M7 are comparable. VOYAH FREE+'s range extender is the only one in its class to use fixed-position shutdown technology, reducing start-up shock and component wear. In the long term, this helps lower maintenance costs and provides a more comfortable driving experience due to less shock and noise. It seems that winter is a challenge for Li l L6 and AITO M7, but just another season for VOYAH FREE+.

Snowy Conditions: Who Is More Stable and Safer in the Ice and Snow?
In snowy driving, four-wheel drive is essential, and the four-wheel drive performance of the three vehicles is distinctive. Here, I must praiseVOYAH FREE+ first. Its dynamic intelligent electric four-wheel drive has a whole vehicle torque response speed of only 60ms, quickly adjusting power output on snowy uphill or icy roads to prevent skidding. Coupled with the upgraded Wet Road Assistance 2.0 system, it performs delicately on mixed snow and water roads, providing more precise grip control.

Of course, the four-wheel drive systems of Ll L6 and Aito M7 are also reliable. Although there is still room for improvement in their technical routes, they are more than sufficient for daily snowy driving. Because VOYAH FREE+ has more precise torque distribution, it has better stability and controllability in sudden situations. In terms of chassis stability, the VOYAH FREE+ once again leads its rivals. The EDC Magic Carpet Chassis is a winter wonder, capable of predicting road conditions in advance and adjusting the damping to effectively filter out the bumps on snow-covered roads. The 100mm adjustable air suspension can raise the chassis in deep snow sections to improve passability, and automatically lower the body at high speeds to enhance stability. Notably, it is equipped with the same built-in valve EDC as the Porsche 718, the only one in its class, with a response time of just 20ms and capable of 100 adjustments per second. This ensures rapid stabilization of the vehicle on compacted snow and smooth roads, preventing fishtailing.

The AITO M7 also has a Magic Carpet function, which uses cameras and lidar to predict road conditions in advance and adjust the continuously variable damping shock absorbers in the suspension. However, theLi L6 does not have this feature yet. Moreover, the chassis tuning of both the AITO M7 and Li L6 is more geared towards urban roads, equipped with external valve CDC, which naturally performs slightly worse in complex icy and snowy conditions, lacking sufficient support. In terms of tire compatibility and low-temperature range, all three models are equipped with winter tires and come standard with 20-inch wheels, with 21-inch wheels available as an option. TheVOYAH FREE+’s 20-inch low-rolling-resistance tires not only ensure the vehicle's range and quietness but also provide excellent grip on icy and snowy roads.

In terms of safety features, the VOYAH FREE+ is equipped with a 29-inch AR-HUD with a brightness of over 15,000 nits and high contrast, ensuring stable display even in rainy and snowy weather. It projects navigation information directly in front of the driver, reducing distractions. The Li L6 only has a 13-inch W-HUD, and the AITO M7 only has this feature on the Ultra version.

Overall, the Li L6 performs reliably in urban winter commuting, with sufficient pure electric range for daily use and a four-wheel drive system providing basic snow traction. If you mainly stay in the city and occasionally go on trips, it is a good choice. The AITO M7 has balanced performance in all aspects without obvious weaknesses. Its pure electric range and charging speed are in the middle range, and its four-wheel drive system is reliable, making it suitable for users who have requirements in all aspects but not to the extreme. The VOYAH FREE+ performs comprehensively in winter driving scenarios, whether it's the ultra-long pure electric range to reduce charging frequency, the fast charging to save waiting time, or the stable snow performance and complete winter configuration, making it the preferred choice for winter driving. Especially its V2V vehicle-to-vehicle charging function, which enables it to rescue other electric vehicles in icy and snowy weather, turning it into a "super-sized mobile power bank".
