Wuling Starlight 730 with fuel, pure electric and plug-in hybrid power options has officially hit the market.

The Starlight 730 adopts a brand-new design language, presenting a significantly more fashionable and youthful overall visual effect compared to other models of the same brand. The front face of the fuel and plug-in hybrid versions features a large grille with a mesh-like element design and blackened treatment, complemented by narrow headlamps on both sides, creating a visually appealing and distinctive look. The pure electric version, on the other hand, sports a closed-off design. Additionally, the new model has air ducts on both sides of the front bumper, a feature rarely seen in vehicles of this class.

The side of the Starlight 730 brings a touch of agility through the design of the lower edge of the side windows and the door area. The new car is equipped with side sliding doors (available as an option for 3,000 yuan), with the sliding rails hidden beneath the window edge, providing a unified visual effect. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 4,910mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,770mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,910mm. As for the wheels, the new model will offer 16-17-inch wheels depending on the version. Moreover, the pure electric version has a drag coefficient of only 0.276.

At the rear, the new model's design is relatively simple, with straight taillights that echo the front design. It is equipped with a spoiler on top, as well as rear parking sensors and a panoramic camera system. In terms of color options, the car will be available in four different colors: smoke grey, silver frost white, obsidian black, and dusk purple.

Inside, the Starlight 730 features a minimalist cabin design, combining various materials and colors. The new car is equipped with a 3.5-inch floating instrument panel and a 12.8-inch floating central screen, running the Ling OS system, supporting vehicle-to-device connectivity, and offering multiple scene modes such as nap, camping, and power-off when the driver leaves the vehicle. Notably, due to the design of the gear lever (for plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions), the traditional mechanical gear lever position (for the fuel version) has been transformed into a wireless phone charging device, enhancing practicality. In terms of color options, the car will offer two interior themes: walnut brown and warm sand brown.

The Starlight 730 adopts a "2+2+3" seven-seat layout, with two independent seats in the second row. The seats of the new car are available in fabric and faux leather, depending on the model configuration. Some models also offer electric adjustment for the driver's seat and rear air conditioning control. Notably, the front seats of the new model can be fully reclined at a 180-degree angle, allowing for a flat rest position in place.

The three rows of seats in the new car can be folded in a 4/6 split ratio, with the maximum reclining angle of the backrest reaching 127 degrees. In terms of storage space, the car provides 25 storage compartments. The third-row seats are ingeniously designed with a magic folding mechanism, allowing for a transformation of the trunk volume from 315 to 1,202 liters through the reclining of the backrest and the secondary folding of the seat cushion. Additionally, there is a sizable storage compartment beneath the trunk floor.

In terms of power, the Starlight 730 offers three power options: plug-in hybrid, pure electric, and fuel. The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with Lingxi Power 3.0, consisting of a 1.5L engine (with a thermal efficiency of 43.2%) and a fourth-generation 10-in-1 motor, achieving a fuel consumption of 5.3L/100km when the battery is depleted, a pure electric range of 125km (CLTC cycle), and a combined range of 1,100km (CLTC cycle). The pure electric version features a motor with a maximum power of 100kW and is equipped with a 60kWh Shenlian battery, offering a pure electric range of 500km (CLTC cycle), an official power consumption of 13.6kWh/100km, and supports 2C charging, enabling a 200km charge in 15 minutes. The fuel version of the model is equipped with a 1.5T engine, with a maximum power of 130kW and a peak torque of 290 N·m. It is mated with a 6-speed manual and CVT transmission. The chassis features a front MacPherson and rear composite multi-link suspension system.

As a new model, the Starlight 730 has left a rather favorable impression in terms of design, especially in its exterior styling, which is highly distinctive. Compared to the rather dull designs of models in the same class, it stands out as a highlight. Additionally, the new car benefits from a 2910mm wheelbase, offering commendable performance in both passenger and storage space. Moreover, the availability of plug-in hybrid, pure electric, and fuel versions caters to the diverse needs of different consumers to the greatest extent.
