Test Drive Experience of Wuling Longka - Episode 1
In the domestic microvan and microtruck market, if you ask which brand has the largest market share, it must be SAIC-GM-Wuling. As an automaker with 41 years of experience in truck production, it has accumulated over 8 million truck users. Currently, it offers models such as Wuling Zhiguang Small Truck, Rongguang Small Truck, and Rongguang New Truck. The vehicle we are going to test drive today is the top product in this segment, which can be called the "super" microtruck. It is the Wuling Longka.

The Wuling Longka is positioned as an extra-large microtruck. This "extra-large" is reflected in its 3800mm cargo box depth and 1925mm cargo box width. These dimensions make it possible to not only load horizontally but also walk horizontally inside the cargo box. With a vehicle length of only 5640mm, having such cargo box dimensions is quite rare. Its 2020mm width leads in its class, and its 2096mm height allows it to fit into most garages. The 3350mm wheelbase gives it good turning flexibility.

From the above parameters, it is clear that this is a microtruck with an extra-large and extra-wide cargo box. Compared to the mainstream 3400mm cargo box length, it has a significant length advantage. Compared to most 4.2m diesel light trucks, it has advantages in flexibility and road rights.

The Wuling Longka adopts a new design language, and its appearance bears no resemblance to previous models. Firstly, it uses a flat-nose design. Due to its width exceeding 2 meters, it appears more stable and solid visually.

The front of the vehicle is simple and straightforward. The parametrically designed black front grille connects to the triangular wing-shaped headlamps on both sides, which is a distinctive design element in microtrucks.

The headlamps use halogen bulbs, which is common in this class. Functionally, they support height adjustment, allowing for better lighting angles under different loads.
The vehicle length is controlled at 5640mm, which makes the sides look not too long. The addition of the eyebrow along the edge of the headlamps and the crescent-shaped wheel arches above the rear wheels adds some dynamism to the sides.

For the tires, as a tool vehicle with a focus on load-carrying, it uses 185/R14LT tires, which is at the mainstream level in its class. The rear dual-tire design further enhances load-carrying capacity and driving stability.
The rear of the vehicle doesn't have much to introduce. It is equipped with rear parking sensors and a rearview camera, which are very practical for frequently used microtrucks.
In terms of model selection, it offers flatbed, cage, van, and special vehicle options, covering almost all microtruck types. It comes in two colors: white and silver, and there are two configurations available.
