Recently, the Wuling Hongguang Extended-Range Version was officially launched. It provides three configurations: the Practical 5-seater, the Standard 5-seater, and the Comfort 7-seater. The new vehicle is equipped with a 1.5L hybrid engine, offering a comprehensive range of 1,000km, with a CLTC pure-electric range of 50km. Positioned as a microvan, the Wuling Hongguang now offers three powertrain options for consumers to choose from: fuel, extended-range, and pure-electric.

The official announcement states that starting today, customers can place orders through official online channels such as the Wuling Motors App and Wuling Motors Mini Program, and immediately enjoy three launch promotions. These include a limited-time order gift, where a deposit of 1,000 yuan can be deducted from a 2,000 yuan vehicle purchase; a popular vehicle exchange gift, offering a 5,000 yuan exchange subsidy for trading in an old vehicle; and an economical electric gift, where a 2kW portable DC charger is given with the purchase of the vehicle.

The Wuling Hongguang Extended-Range Version largely retains the exterior design of the pure-electric model. The front of the vehicle features a borderless grille design and is equipped with irregularly shaped headlights. The extensive use of negative space makes it appear more streamlined. The Wuling Hongguang Extended-Range Version has a drag coefficient of 0.32Cd (a 15% reduction compared to traditional models). The new vehicle employs a conventional door-opening mechanism and does not offer sliding doors in the rear. However, the tailgate is larger, enhancing its practicality. It is worth noting that the fast-charging port of the Wuling Hongguang Extended-Range Version is located on the right front fender. In terms of vehicle dimensions, the length, width, and height are 4,515/1,725/1,790mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. The interior offers seating arrangements for either 5 or 7 passengers.

Regarding the interior, the new vehicle is equipped with an 8-inch floating central control screen, a rotary gear-shifting mechanism, and a three-spoke steering wheel. The interior focuses on spatial practicality, with various storage areas. The flat floors of the second and third rows allow for unobstructed cargo stacking. The low threshold, level with the knees, makes the loading and unloading of large items convenient and efficient. The extra-wide square door opening allows for easy entry and exit of wide-bodied items. The vehicle also features rear-seat air conditioning for efficient and precise temperature control.
In terms of power, the 1.5L hybrid engine of the Wuling Hongguang Extended-Range Version has a thermal efficiency 10% higher than that of traditional engines, with over 80% of the time spent in the high-efficiency zone. The Hair-Pin flat wire liquid-cooled motor has a maximum power of 75kW and a maximum output torque of 180N·m. The NEDC fuel consumption in power-saving mode is 4.3L/100km, with a comprehensive range of 1,000km and a CLTC pure-electric range of 50km. In terms of safety, the Wuling Hongguang Extended-Range Version is equipped with ABS anti-lock braking and EBD electronic brake force distribution systems.
